The mighty SMS Bismarck was a German pocket battleship during World War 2. Its main gun was a 38cm 48-caliber gun that complied with the Washington Naval Treaty. The German Navy adopted a name system whereby the main turrets was code-named as Anton, Bruno, Cesar and Dora. The Bismarck class is equipped with an excellent optical fire control system; the Bismarck was able to sink the HMS Hood in the Battle of the Denmark Strait because of the high hit rate and artillery ability.
